The Parents' Forum are a group of parents who volunteer to meet Mrs Mander (Headteacher) on a termly basis. The Forum was established to enable Mrs Mander to gain feedback regarding priorities on the School Development Plan. The Forum is made up of parents who represent each year group across the school. For each meeting an agenda is set and minutes are taken.
The Parents' Forum have been instrumental in terms of school improvement, for instance due to their feedback, 'Welcome Meetings' were rescheduled to take place at the end of the summer term rather than the beginning of the autumn term. The Forum also suggested the use of 'Home-Link' books to aid communication between home and school. Other improvements include the development of our annual parent questionnaire and the time and format of curriculum workshops.
On behalf of the Governors and staff at Five Ways, Mrs Mander would like to thank past and present Forum members for their support and commitment to the improvement of Five Ways over the years.
If you or anyone you know would like to become a member of the Parents' Forum, please contact the school office for further information.
